SAN ANTONIO 01 April 2015 – The 38th Contracting Squadron out of Tinker Air Force Base has awarded two San Antonio Companies, SSI and CNF Technologies, a FFP contract to provide engineering support to the Integrated Network Defense System. CNF has been supporting INDS and the 90th Information Operations Squadron (IOS) out at Lackland Air Force Base since 2010. This support includes enhancing and developing computer network data monitoring, threat detection, reporting, management, correlation, visualization, and tracking capabilities supporting AF Space Command (AFSPC), 24 AF, 67 Cyberspace Wing (67 CW) and 688 CW at locations world-wide. Under INDS , the 90 IOS pioneers multiple solutions to defend the network against various threats. One of their solutions, the Information Operations Platform (IOP), incorporates defensive network tools and services to support IA and information operations. Its functions include real-time network monitoring, data management, forensic capabilities, documentation, reporting, data visualization, and intrusion detection and prevention. IOP is currently deployed throughout the AF enterprise, including the 16 Air Force gateways. CNF and SSI are currently developing the next generation of IOP.
