Cyber Incident Response Analyst – San Antonio

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Incident Response Analyst correlates information gathered to provide effective methods to protect AF systems.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

*Determine probability of exploitation of systems by an adversary or malware.

*Ensure appropriate notification and action are taken to reduce and mitigate risk to all AF networks, domains, and enclaves.

*Upon identification of suspicious activity on AF networks, open network intrusion investigation(s) to validate the unauthorized activity and determine the type and extent of activity.

*Conduct network intrusion investigations on information security and cyber events and incidents.

*Conduct network intrusion investigation analysis utilizing a wide array of security tools.

Forensic Malware Analyst – San Antonio

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Forensic Malware Analyst enables accurate, timely and thorough execution of computer forensics on suspected and confirmed compromised AF systems to determine the method of intrusion and corrective actions to be taken to prevent or detect similar future activities.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Advanced knowledge of Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System (IDS/IPS), network security monitoring (NSM), endpoint protection and detection, and static-dynamic digital forensic investigation and analysis technologies currently in use by Department of Defense and Federal Government Agencies; intermediate experience with the network communication function standards in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model such as data link layer, network layer, addressing, subnetting, protocols, ports, services, and applications associated with the Internet Protocol (IP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Domain Name Service (DNS), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

Junior Test/Automation Engineer – San Antonio, TX

Job description:

CNF is hiring a Junior Test/Automation Engineer to work at our CNF facilities at Port of San Antonio, TX to fulfill requirements to integrate operational requirements for cyber applications into viable test plans; develop an evaluation suite; and execute tests in order to generate a functional, developmental, or operational evaluation of the application. This entire procedure is meant to be rapid test development and will occur over 2-3 week periods from each project start, depending on test complexity. This position will also be expected to support development of new capabilities on the customer network in the form of network modifications, service deployments on virtual servers, and issue remediation for customer developers.

Qualifications/Experience:

The Junior Test/Automation Engineer position will require building, deploying, and running evaluation and test environments for products developed at lab spaces run by CNF. Specifically the candidate will:

*Work with government developers to define test requirements

*Consult with developers to develop functional testing

*Provide engineering support to developers for functional pipeline testing

*Coordinate with test manager on test plan development

*Design test programs for applications developed at the customer lab

*Build VM deployment and test scripts

Minimum/General Experience:

Extensive experience in telecom research and building data dictionaries based on industry standards such as IEEE and ITU‑T.  The data analyst will research, design, develop, and demonstrate the data research aligns with an operational telecom analysis system.

Functional Responsibility:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

*Identify operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements by applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Real-Time Detection Analyst provides around the clock, real-time network security monitoring and analysis of the Air Force network and systems Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) events.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

*Review all Near Real-Time IDS/IPS alerts per AFCERT Operating Instruction (OI)

*Conduct near real-time security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis for all systems

*Monitor security sensors to analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and review logs to identify intrusions for remediation.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

CNF is hiring a team to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas to fulfill the requirement of a System Software Engineer Mid-Level to perform database, replication, and system administration tasks as required for various development, testing, training and exercise environments involving Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) systems and Global Command and Control Systems – Joint (GCCS-J) in support of the Contract in for the 35IS.  The candidate will be based in San Antonio, TX at 35th IS, Lackland AFB, TX.
