Asset Manager – San Antonio, TX

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Asset Manager is responsible for inventorying, storing, and tracking all CNF corporate and Government received property. This individual will oversee and track the delivery and location of all systems and hardware. The candidate should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate equipment setups, handoffs, and returns. The candidate will also coordinate maintenance/disposal of assets, as needed.

MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum/General Experience:

Two years of technical experience in applications software development, one of which is in systems analysis. Responsibilities:

As a Contracts Specialist at CNF Technologies, you support the Contracts Manager and represent and safeguard the company’s interests with external and internal communications with our customers and partners concerning Federal Contracts, Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, Purchase Orders and Regulatory Compliance.

Network and Security Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Will be responsible for managing and maintaining a medium-size office network supporting corporate and contract efforts. Supports the integration of new contract assets into the network, ensuring remote connectivity for endpoints and remote offices, supporting all endpoints and services across the enterprise, deploying new services through virtualized or container deployments, advises on the security impact of change, and develops/implements disaster response actions.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering/Science or a focus on Network Engineering. A technical degree will not be required if applicable certifications can be presented such as Cisco CCNA (or similar), Palo Alto Networks Certifications, or Windows Administration certification. All skill qualifications will require hands-on demonstration during the interview process. Must have at least 2 years in the field of IT infrastructure maintenance and network engineering.

*Ideal candidates should demonstrate ability to work within a team, be proficient with the technologies utilized within the infrastructure, have a strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve and communicate network issues to other employees and management.
*Ability to develop and maintain Cisco IOS configurations across networks: Candidates must have strong knowledge of Layer2&3 switching, VLANs, ability to maintain ACLs, manage port security, and understanding of the OSI model.

Principal Engineer/Analyst – San Antonio, TX/Columbia, MD

Minimum/General Experience:

Extensive experience in telecom research and building data dictionaries based on industry standards such as IEEE and ITU‑T.  The data analyst will research, design, develop, and demonstrate the data research aligns with an operational telecom analysis system.

Functional Responsibility:

CNF is hiring a team to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas to fulfill the requirement of a System Software Engineer Mid-Level to perform database, replication, and system administration tasks as required for various development, testing, training and exercise environments involving Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) systems and Global Command and Control Systems – Joint (GCCS-J) in support of the Contract in for the 35IS.  The candidate will be based in San Antonio, TX at 35th IS, Lackland AFB, TX.

Knowledge/Experience in the following:

*Relational database administration (Sybase preferred)

*SQL experience

*Understanding of database replication

*Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Any app server (Wildfly/JBoss preferred), RHEL/CentOS/Solaris, Scripting (Bash, ksh, etc)

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

System Software Engineer Mid-Level conduct the following:

*Interface with customers to design, implement, and maintain complex, bridged Sybase replication environments to support scenarios involving cross connected versions of various weapon systems.

*Use SQL to assist with maintaining data quality across multiple versions of MIDB and GCCS-J.

*Perform all administration tasks for Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Sybase Repserver, and Wildfly app servers for the 35IS MIDB and GCCS-J systems.

*Provide remote assistance in design, maintenance, and recovery of MIDB and GCCS-J Sybase database systems.

*Utilize your experience and knowledge of troubleshooting errors to assist application developers and testers with integrating their application solutions with our database systems.

*Design, tune, and implement load test scenarios as requested by the customer.

*Design, install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers on Nutanix hardware.

*Perform database, app server, and system administration tasks to support implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls to ensure compliance.

*Leverage experience with different technologies to assist with administration needs onDell EMC servers, NetApp storage, Nutanix AHV, Prism, Acropolis on Nutanix appliances, and other tools to deliver Enterprise Services to support the cyber security mission of 35th IS information systems (IS) and networks.

*Respond and resolve service outages, technical queries and other system related issues.

*Perform system checks (processes, services, network, storage) to ascertain overall system health.

*Update and document configuration management and troubleshoot any reported problems.

*Collaborate with the security team on system upgrades and issues.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

DOD Directive 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or equivalent)

BS/MS (BA/MA)  with 5 yrs directly related experience

Or

MS with 2 yrs directly related experience

Accepted Degrees: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Systems, Or related BS degree

Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
