CNF Technologies has been named a recipient of the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Above and Beyond Award. Damon Maldonado, software developer, nominated the company. Accepting the award on behalf of CNF was CEO Roxanne Ramirez.
“We take great pride in having National Guard and Reserve members on our team. We aim to provide them with the best possible environment for success, both when they are here with us or when they are away on duty,” said Roxanne Ramirez.
According to ESGR’s website, the Above and Beyond Award, “recognizes employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits, and other similar benefits.”
The Above and Beyond Award is given in limited numbers by the State Committees to employers who have had at least one of their supervisors recognized with the Patriot Award. CNF’s Executive Director of Mission Engineering and Integration, Jason Garcia, was previously awarded the Patriot Award.
ESGR designed their awards program to celebrate employers who go above and beyond to support members of the National Guard and Reserve. Since the National Guard and Reserve is composed of patriotic volunteers who may be called upon at any time, sustainability of the organization depends on the backing of employers who provide support, understanding, and job security when their employees answer the call of duty. Award recipients are nominated by an employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve and may also be nominated by their spouse.
