For the 26th year in a row, the San Antonio Business Journal has been recognizing the city’s Movers and Shakers – all who’s accomplishments are great in comparison to their young age. These individuals, who have joined their very own elite class, are known as San Antonio Business Journal’s 2021 40 Under 40 Honorees.
These leaders have been said to be the creators of the city’s future while serving as both mentors and learners to achieve their current positions. During the 40 Under 40 virtual celebration, the honorees shared advice they’d offer to their younger self and those pursuing careers during the new challenges of Covid-19. When offering advice, CNF’s Chief Financial Officer Jon Garcia spoke of the importance of a strong company culture. “It all starts with the company culture, when every decision considers employee well-being and satisfaction, you’ve establish healthy and efficient routines.”

Jon Garcia is responsible for CNF Technologies Corp.’s financial functions, including accounting, auditing, corporate finance, and partner relations. In addition to financial affairs, Garcia has developed and implemented company policies and procedures keeping pace with CNF’s growth while maintaining the company’s signature culture. Since joining in 2015, he has been instrumental in executing business development strategies and project management.
What is your favorite San Antonio activity and why? San Antonio has countless exciting and wonderful activities to offer, but my favorite activity is visiting Sea World. I loved it before becoming a father and even more so now. I am very much looking forward to my children being old enough for the behind-the-scenes tours and animal interactions.
What is a favorite hobby or pastime? I am confident individual hobbies will return one day, but for now, I truly enjoy spending time with my daughter and son, teaching them new things, watching them explore and learn, and finding family activities to enjoy.
