San Antonio, August 5, 2020 – CNF constantly strives to invest in our local San Antonio community and recently had the opportunity to lend a helping hand to Haven for Hope, a one of a kind non-profit focused on delivering an efficient system of care for individuals experiencing homelessness. Haven for Hope brings multiple service providers, from substance abuse and mental health experts to life-skills training programs, all to one location thus increasing accessibility and efficiency of resources delivered to 2,000 individuals served daily.
With a local spike in Covid-19 infection and death rates, CNF was determined to act and ensure volunteers and individuals receiving services had necessary items. CNF provided hundreds of face masks and bottles of hand sanitizer, along with a monetary donation, with the hope of helping each person stay safe during both their personal and a global crisis.
CNF has previously aided several non-profits including the San Antonio Food Bank and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, but took special interest in Haven for Hope’s mission. Since June of 2010, Haven for Hope has been helping Bexar county men, women, and children experiencing homelessness by offering housing and life-saving services. Since opening, approximately 5,500 people have exited the transformational campus and moved to permanent housing. After one year, 88% of people who exited with housing placement did not return to homelessness. Since opening 3,308 individuals who previously used Haven for Hope’s services and facilities have attained employment.
CNF is honored to help an organization that reflects its core values of servant leadership, optimism in the face of adversity, and the pursuit of excellence. CNF Founder and Principal Fred Ramirez along with CEO Roxanne Ramirez met with Vice President of Transformational Services Dr. Gary Chance, LPC, who provided more insight about Haven for Hope’s mission and the impact on the community. CNF looks forward to helping this wonderful organization again in the future.
