SAN ANTONIO 19 September 2018 – CNF has officially partnered with the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for the National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC) to advance research, education and workforce development in cybersecurity, data analytics and cloud computing. NSCC will create a vibrant ecosystem leveraging Academia, Government and Industry to solve the nation’s greatest cyber challenges. UTSA leads Academia with the nation’s #1 Cybersecurity program and over 3,500 graduate and undergraduate students studying in the fields of technology and computation. The NSCC will further establish San Antonio as a hub for all things cyber and a center for cyber excellence.
CNF first partnered with UTSA in 2015 by establishing the CNF Cybersecurity Scholarship coupled with an internship opportunity. Interns are provided with real-world hands-on experience and prepared for a career with CNF upon graduation. Many of the company’s top performers are alumni of UTSA. CNF itself, is one of San Antonio’s largest and fastest growing cybersecurity providers supporting the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community nationwide. In the spring of 2018, CNF was selected out of 22 bidders as one of the five awardees to share a $950 million ceiling contract vehicle and was the ONLY San Antonio-based company to be selected. Recent awards on major task orders under this vehicle will establish as many as fifty highly-compensated cybersecurity jobs in San Antonio within the year, with further growth annually through 2023.
