The ceremony took place at the AFCEA Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium where hundreds of military leaders, government officials, and industry partners gathered together to network, discuss, and share industry best practices. The AFCEA 40 Under Forty Award is given to 40 individuals ages 40 and under for their significant contributions in a STEM field by providing innovation, thought leadership, and support to their client or organizations using information technology (IT). This is a world-wide recognition and accolade as Jason was selected from a field of more than 125 candidates consisting of military, government and industry across the globe.
Jason is a “go to” senior subject matter expert for the Air Force cyber intelligence squadron providing technical support to solving the most dangerous security vulnerability exposures, reverse engineering malware, tracking down new variants, zero-day malware, and creating new malware labs and custom defensive capabilities. As the public is reading or hearing about a recent or current malicious software attack, Jason is analyzing, performing a malware triage/collecting intelligence, and reverse engineering these threats to identify functions, objectives, weaknesses and establishing defensive countermeasures. In addition to being a highly technical SME, Jason is a key Principal at CNF Technologies, and the Team Lead for five multimillion-dollar Department of Defense contracts ranging from system accreditation to the very forefront of analyzing and reverse engineering the latest and most advance malicious logic. Jason has been instrumental in the company being one of the fastest growing companies in San Antonio in 2017 as well as a top cyber security provider in San Antonio.
