SAN ANTONIO 20 September 2018 – CNF’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Stephen Barish was honored at the 2018 San Antonio Business Journal’s C-Suite Awards Ceremony. This year’s event took place at the renowned Pearl Stable, filled with family, friends, co-workers and the top executives from all over the city. All gathered to recognized and honor this year’s elite executives. The honorees represented many different industries, backgrounds, and experiences but all shared two excellent traits, Leadership and a strong Passion for what they do. Mr. Barish, a well-known leader amongst San Antonio, was amongst the top C-Suite executives being honored.
Steve led the year-long business development, capture, and proposal effort for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Agile Cyber Technology 2 (ACT 2) contract, a five-year Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract servicing Cybersecurity customers in the Air Force, Navy, Army, and National Security Agency. CNF was selected out of 22 bidders as one of the five awardees sharing the $950 million ceiling and is the ONLY San Antonio-based company selected. Thanks to this contract, CNF is projecting task order awards that will add as many as fifty highly-compensated cybersecurity jobs to San Antonio within the year, with further growth annually through 2023. “Bringing Steve onboard has been a game changer, his leadership, vision, and dedication has propelled CNF Technologies to the next level”, Roxanne Ramirez, CEO.
Steve is also a tireless and dedicated mentor, working with CNF staff at all levels to develop personal and professional development goals, and build strategies to meet them. He identified the need and led the charge in implementing succession planning within CNF. As Steve always says, “At every level of the company we should have a team of qualified, trained, and experienced folks ready to step in at a moment’s notice if the need arises.” Steve calls it the Hit By A Bus test. “If I should get hit by a bus, there are at least two or three others that can carry on day to day operations.”
