Freddy Ramirez, CEO, CNF Technologies – 39
Ramirez has been running the company since 2022. He is in charge of driving cyber innovation and expanding CNF Technologies into emerging markets and industries. Before joining the company, Ramirez was a Bexar County Assistant District Attorney involved with managing white-collar and cybercrimes. He is most proud of being transparent about decisions with the staff at CNF. “We candidly explore every facet — from triumphs to trials, encompassing financial and strategic pursuits to shifts within the company,” he said. Ramirez has led the company’s philanthropic ventures with Habitat for Humanity. CNF not only donates annually, but its team members have contributed sweat equity while helping build a total of 7 homes.
CNF’s Chief Strategy Officer and former Chief Operations Officer Steve Barish spoke of Freddy accomplishments. “I have watched Freddy – an outsider to the Defense and Intelligence Community – join the firm, first as Chief Legal Counsel and then Chief Executive Officer and learn the complexities and nuances of the business in an amazingly short time. Our industry is one of, if not the most heavily regulated in the United States and Freddy’s legal background enables him to navigate that landscape with a degree of confidence and ease that I frankly had not expected from a former Assistant District Attorney. He has made timely investments in staff, external consulting, and in mentorship that have helped the firm navigate real challenges as we have grown. And that growth has been significant and has become sustainable. In the past three years alone, CNF has been awarded over $400 million dollars’ worth of contract ceiling, and in excess of $100 million of actual funding – which translates to jobs and local tax base – which are operated out of San Antonio. Almost 90% of the company’s work force is here in the greater San Antonio area as well.”
This year’s energetic award ceremony unfolded on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the enchanting Morgan’s Camp, captivating an audience in a sold-out gathering.
With great joy, CNF extends its warmest congratulations to Freddy Ramirez for his extraordinary professional and personal triumphs, which have justly granted him a coveted spot on the prestigious SABJ 40 Under 40 list. We wholeheartedly celebrate your remarkable achievements and eagerly anticipate the ways you will continue to propel our business and city into a brighter future. Congratulations Freddy!
