Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Analytics Developer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CNF is looking for an energetic and dynamic BI/Data Analytics Developer to be a key contributor to our team responsible for architecting solutions that transform our data into insights. The successful candidate will develop, deploy, and maintain BI and analytics solutions for data ingest, validation, analysis, visualization, and reporting.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

In this role you will:

  • Create and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and data lake houses.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format.
  • Build and maintain data models to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of the data. Manage database performance, security, and integrity.
  • Accomplish data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources into a usable form for business analysis.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI solutions to enhance functionality and incorporate new data sources or analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data used for analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a BI/data analytics developer.
  • Strong knowledge of BI tools and software such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
  • Expertise in database management and data modeling, with a strong command of SQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
  • Familiarity with transactional database, data warehouse, data lake, data lake house concepts, design, and best practices.

 

PREFERRED/DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of programming languages for data analysis.
  • Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Certification in BI technologies or data analytics such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
