CWMS Network Specialist – San Antonio


Cleared Network Specialist will operate and maintain information processing capabilities supporting the product instances and developmental networks of the Cyber Warfare Mission System Operations and Support team. The candidate will be based in San Antonio, TX.


Candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced, small-team environment. The successful candidate must have 5 or more years of related experience with a strong understanding of Internet and Telephony protocols. The candidate will possess and maintain required skills to include, but not limited to:

Experience with one or more of the following technologies:

*Cisco Routing and Switch Configuration

*VMware Virtual Networks, i.e., EXSI, VSPHERE

*LINUX/RHEL/CentOS/MS Windows/MS Server

*Network Hardening

*DELL Servers Configuration

*Juniper/VyOS/Vyatta/Cisco Routing

*Trend Micro

Understanding of Agile/DevOps principles:

*Understanding CI/CD pipeline theory and practical implementation

*Understanding Agile team makeup and function

*Familiarity of common DevOps tools like Jira, Confluence and Gitlab

Other Desired Qualifications:

*Domain Controller Implementation/Hierarchy

*Veeam Backup Solution

*PowerShell Scripting

*Understanding of Programming (C#, Python, Java, etc.)


*Install, support, and maintain servers by tuning system performance, system wide software configuration and allocation of mass storage space

*Install, support, and maintain a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) by tuning system performance, system wide software configuration, and allocation of computer resources

*Responsible for the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems through patch management to include antivirus installation and signature file updates and data archival/restoral

*Respond and resolve immediate service outages, technical queries and other system related issues as required

*Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems as current as possible with changing technology

*Utilize Agile processes to develop and sustain software deployment activities

*Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization

*Troubleshoot network hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

*Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of network infrastructure

*Lead helpdesk support efforts supporting resolution of network infrastructure outages and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions


*Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related experience

*DOD Directive 8570 IAT I or II certification (Security+ or equivalent)


Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
