POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a Cyber Tool Test Engineer (TE you will provide senior level engineering services and technical leadership of test engineering functions for our US Government clients. You will perform a variety of activities for testing and evaluating cyber tools and solutions focused in the area of Offensive Cyber Operations.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
In this role you will:
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software solutions supporting Cyber Operations for defensive and offensive platforms.
- Provide test automation research, development, test, and evaluation support for all phases of test automation.
- Prepare test and evaluation plans, test cases, and reports in accordance with established operations and processes.
- Research, design, develop, and/or modify test automation using various industry tools for systems and/or applications software.
- Perform functional, interoperability, and integration testing at various layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
- Coordinate with customers, test engineers and range engineers to ensure testing infrastructure supports test objectives and associate use-case requirements.
- Aggregate, examine, and analyze test data to determine capability and functional conformance to the requirements.
- Recommend changes to capabilities and functions as a result of gaps observed during testing and evaluation.
- Actively participate in Agile team planning and test execution.
- Provide task leadership and mentoring of other test engineers.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partner test engineers to develop customer testing and test automation solutions.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-team environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and a minimum of 7 years of work experience. Candidates who hold a Master of Science in a technical field require a minimum of 5 years work experience. The candidate will possess and maintain required skills to include, but not limited to:
- Functional Black Box Test Engineering, experience in one or more technical domains relevant to Cyber Capability Development (Networking, Operating System Design and Administration, DevOps, etc.)
- Experience in designing and applying Functional Test prior/during development to support an Agile philosophy of product delivery.
- A Test Engineer must be able to collaborate well with a strong lean-forward attitude to shift knowledge left, deliver well, and increase efficiency.
- Integrating, testing, and deploying solutions.
- Linux based command line and script development.
- Experience with Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Agile development with DevOps/DevSecOps infrastructures.
- Test automation tools such as Jenkins, Robot Framework, and Selenium.
- Linux and Window operating systems, OSI Model, Network traffic collection/analysis.
- Open Source, cloud, virtualization, and microservices technology and software.
- Some programming and/or scripting skillsets.
- Experience as a Cyber Operator (Red Team, CNO, CNE, or OCO) RIOT, Forge, Basic Operator Course (BOC)
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
