POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a System Administrator Level 2 who supports implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems across UNIX and Windows environments. This role manages system infrastructure and daily operations for client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile endpoints. The administrator provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, resolves incidents, monitors performance, and implements operating system enhancements to improve reliability and availability. Responsibilities include configuring OS software, maintaining system integrity, optimizing resource utilization, and communicating status and escalation updates to stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience operating secure, mission-critical environments and delivering responsive customer support.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems across UNIX and Windows platforms.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) incident identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems and assist users in accessing and utilizing systems.
• Monitor client/server/storage/network devices and mobile endpoints; resolve operational issues promptly.
• Escalate and communicate ticket status and system issues to management and internal customers.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated incidents to improve resolution and prevention processes.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform capacity analysis and planning activities.
• Configure and manage operating systems; install and maintain OS software and system updates.
• Maintain integrity and configuration of network components supporting system and application operations.
• Implement performance tuning, reliability improvements, and other operating system enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree (10 years’ experience) or High School diploma (15 years’ experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
